Hello,
I am a therapist at Kuu Spa.
Today, I would like to talk about the care of our hands―
the very lifeline of our work.
Our hands are the most important part of our body,
as they touch our guests’ skin directly.
At Kuu Spa, we treat our hands as precious tools,
caring for them with the same attention as any essential equipment.

🌿 An Easy Jojoba Oil Hand Mask
This is a simple yet highly effective care routine you can continue every day.
1. First, apply lotion to your hands
2. Apply jojoba oil on top
3. Put on thin plastic gloves
4. Layer kitchen rubber gloves over them
Then, continue with washing dishes as usual.
While washing,
the wax esters in jojoba oil―similar to our natural skin oils―
slowly penetrate into the skin.
In winter, use warm water for a gentle heat-pack effect.
In summer, cool water offers a lighter, refreshing treatment.
When you remove the gloves,
your hands will feel soft, plump, and slightly moist.
Well-nourished skin absorbs lotion surprisingly well afterward.
Finish with an emulsion,
then seal with a non-sticky hand cream or a urea-based cream.
I personally dislike washing dishes as part of housework.
However, since starting this care routine,
I’ve come to see dishwashing as time dedicated to my hands,
and it has made the experience much easier 🤭

✨Caring for Sensitivity in the Hands
・Gently filing with an emery board
・Stimulating the palms with a small body brush to awaken pressure points
・Finger massage
・Stretching and releasing tension
・Finger exercises (large movements, then small ones)
Hands meant for touching need more than softness―
they need awakened sensitivity.

🌿 Working with Bare Hands on Bare Skin
At Kuu Spa, our treatments are performed
with bare hands, directly on bare skin.
That is why a therapist’s hands
are something entrusted with deep trust.
Every day, I care for them with gratitude.

A therapist’s hands are their life.
Hands are our heart.
