Hello, I’m the therapist at KUU Spa ― the person who gave it the name, “A Spa Like a Great Tree.”
Usually, Kuu speaks here on my behalf, but today I would like to share my voice directly ― the voice of the therapist who touches our guests.
A few days ago, something heartwarming happened.
After the grand opening of KUU Spa, I received a message from a guest:
“Since the last treatment, I felt somehow realigned. I even made it through my next night shift with more ease.”
That phrase ― “somehow realigned” ― may sound vague, yet it is such an honest feeling.
You know something has shifted inside, but you can’t quite say what it is.
That indescribable, gentle alignment ― I cherish it deeply.
Before, during, and after each session, I keep adding small layers of awareness.
If those layers quietly support someone’s everyday alignment…
That thought fills me with the deepest joy of being a therapist.

The Small Preparations Before a Session
Right before a session begins, I always take a quiet breath.
“How am I today?”
“Are my hands warm enough?”
“Is my breathing shallow?”
“Is my rhythm calm?”
Before I support someone else’s alignment, I gently realign my own inner state ― breathing, swaying, murmuring quietly, or simply spacing out for a moment.
Just like brushing your hair in the morning, it isn’t anything special ― yet it changes the quality of the hands that touch.

What I Hold in My Awareness While Touching
During a session, I am not simply performing techniques.
I am being with the person’s body.
The strength and flow of each movement follow the rhythm of the guest ― their breath, their temperature, even the subtle pace of their heartbeat.
Not, “Let me realign you,”
but instead,
“Let me not disturb the time in which alignment naturally arises.”
I hold the intention that my hands simply lend support, so the guest can express gratitude toward their own body.
The words I later received ―
“I feel more peaceful and calm” ―
felt like a precious confirmation that this intention truly reached them.
The moments in which I am allowed to touch are, in themselves, my joy as a therapist.

The Quiet Strength of Hot Stones
Our opening gift includes a hot stone ritual.
Beyond warmth, each stone holds a still, unwavering strength.
Stones have lived far longer than we have.
Their quiet depth settles the heart.
When people feel unsteady inside, this kind of silent strength can bring a sense of comfort and exhale.
The guest also wrote,
“Next time, I would love to try the hot stone ritual,”
and I felt honored by that trust ― that willingness to gently surrender.

My Days as a Therapist
It has only been a few days since KUU Spa opened,
yet every day, as I touch our guests, I find myself gently realigned as well.
Supporting alignment,
Waiting for alignment to unfold,
And simply staying close.
This simple posture, I have come to learn, is what resonates most deeply.
For those seeking rest,
for those overwhelmed by busyness,
or for those needing to recharge ―
I hope that being here allows your breath to soften.
Please be gentle with yourself.
I will do the same ― tending to my own alignment, little by little.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading.
I look forward to the day
when I may quietly sit beside your moment of alignment.
