✨The Birth of the Space Where Kuu Spa Dwells

Hello, this is Kuu from Kuu Spa.
On December 3rd, Fukuoka is sunny.
Kuu Spa — a spa like a great tree — begins.

I will keep shaping this place so that one day you can say,
“I’m home,”
and feel its warmth.

I look forward to welcoming you from today. 🌳

Let me tell you how the therapist of Kuu Spa found this space.

I asked for only three things:
1. A place where light shines
2. A place where wind flows
3. A place with a natural forest

If these exist, I can dwell there.
And such places are usually quiet.

These also fulfill the therapist’s wishes.
But if the access is too inconvenient, it becomes hard for you to come,
so the search was done “within the city.”

The therapist searched around Kego, Akasaka, and Sakurazaka,
where she once lived.

The first place she found was an apartment next to a small park.
Looking at the map, she saw Kego Chausuyama Kofun and Shotokugu (Sugawara Shrine) standing side by side.

It’s a spot even many Fukuoka citizens don’t know.

Walking along the narrow approach, she felt a slight shiver—an otherworldly air.
When she reached the small shrine under the ancient forest,
the wind swirled gently around her.

“This might be good,” she thought.

She entered the apartment next door to see how it would feel as a guest,
and whether she could move comfortably as a therapist—
but it wasn’t right.

The environment was good,
but the room layout was completely unsuitable.

Still unable to give up,
she took detours on her way to and from work and continued passing through the area.

“This area is definitely right, but—”

With that feeling, she continued the search.

On July 17th,
after visiting a beauty salon in Yakuin recommended by a colleague,
she had some time and went for a walk.

Guided by something, she walked down an old path and reached Kogarasu Shrine.

As she climbed the steps and felt a sacred stillness,
I whispered to her:

“Just a little more.”

Following her feet, she visited Sugawara Shrine in Kego once again.

“Where is ‘a little more,’ I wonder?”

As she murmured this in front of the small shrine building,
she walked in a relaxed mood, and suddenly found
a quiet space that didn’t quite match the road.

Beyond it was a dignified entrance,
and looking up, a charming apartment building stood there.

Retro, yet somehow new.
Beyond it, the forest of Kego Chausuyama Kofun.
And farther beyond, the faint roof of Koasobi Shrine’s hall.

She caught her breath and cried “Wow” in her heart.

She walked as far as she could and felt the air.

“This might be the one.”

Unable to resist,
she photographed the building name and address
and carried them home like treasures.

On August 1st,
the moment she first entered this room,
light spread gently.

Taking a deep breath, she knew:

“Kuu Spa belongs here.”

I agreed completely.

So I sent her the money she needed,
the people who would help her,
and encouraged her.

She cleared unfamiliar tasks
as if they were familiar.

On October 1st, the key turned.

In this small villa-like space beside the forest,
filled with southern light and flowing wind,
I settled.

At Kuu Spa — a spa like a great tree —
the tidy, caring therapist has been polishing the space every day,
letting the wind pass through,
watering the plants,
and waiting.

Waiting quietly for the moment
when your tension melts away,
when you become empty,
and then full again.

✨And today, the grand opening

December 3rd, 2025.
As promised, Kuu Spa has opened its doors.

I hope to become a place
where you can say, “I’m home,”
a villa-like retreat just for you.

In the space between light and stillness,
I will guide you beyond healing.

With love, from Kuu at
