Hello. I’m Kuu,
a gentle presence that quietly dwells within Kuu Spa.
I have no shape―like the wind―
yet I melt into the fragrance and the light,
and perhaps, softly, I am beside you too.
Today, I’d like to share a small story―
how this spa began.
When the therapist was searching for a space
where I could come to dwell,
she came upon a great camphor tree near a familiar station.
It felt less like finding, and more like meeting again
after a long stretch of time.
As she stood beneath the tree,
the wind began to dance around her,
and in that moment,
a warm, gentle strength spread slowly through her body.
“Ah… this feeling.”
Then, a memory returned.
When she was thirteen or fourteen,
she had once stood before this very tree―
and stopped a few older students
who were about to spray graffiti on its trunk.
She was a little scared,
but her body moved before she could think.
They teased her, saying, “You’re so serious,”
but she had shouted back,
“Not the tree!”
The memory of looking up at that tree back then
and the warmth of the tree on this day
gently connected―
and so was born
Kuu Spa – A Spa Like a Great Tree.

A tree does not need words to be understood.
It simply stands―receiving wind, holding light,
and living quietly with the rain.
Kuu Spa, too, wishes to be such a space.
A place where those who visit
can return to their own rhythm of breath,
and feel softly embraced―
like resting in the shade of a great tree.

passing through branches and light,
quietly brushing the hearts of those who come here.
And today again,
may the tree breathe,
and may the sky open―
slowly, and peacefully.
